Mocha Banana “Ice Cream”

If you’re an avid blog reader like I am, chances are you’ve recently stumbled across a recipe for banana “ice cream” that’s been circulating the mommy/home/food blogs lately. You can’t get any easier than this recipe.

Step one: Chop up a banana.

Step two: Freeze it.

Step three: Stick it in the food processor and blend until creamy.

The end.

See? Told you it was easy. The result is surprisingly delicious. The banana blends into a perfect soft-serve ice cream consistency and tastes fantastic. Mix in chocolate chips, chopped nuts, whatever, and you have a decadent treat that only tastes bad for you. Seriously. I feed it plain to my son and even at 13 months old, I can tell he thinks he’s getting a special treat. Little does he know!

The other day I realized I had something on hand that would definitely be a good match for this treat. I mixed in some mocha frappe mix and holy moly, was it tasty.

Go ahead, make it. You know you want to.
