Solutions for Operators

My mom’s family sold a butcher shop in Meriden CT and moved to Oregon in 1924. There’s an image that comes to my mind when I think of ancestors owning a shop in the Northeast.

Whenever I think of this era I think of shopkeepers sweeping the boardwalk in front of their shops, early in the morning.

I think of the pride these small business owner‘s had in the establishments and how they considered a clean and attractive storefront as essential to their customer satisfaction and retention.

Contrast that with most small foodservice operations today. How many cafes and coffeeshops do you know that sweep the sidewalk in front of their business as part of the opening duties?

Do you believe keeping your storefront clean and fresh is essential to building your business?
